Overview
The Carolinas Aviation Museum strives to collect helicopters which are relevant to aviation in the Carolinas. Typically this would include helicopters which have been flown in the Carolinas. Our collection also includes helicopter which are historically significant and relevant to the development of helicopter aviation in the Carolinas. (Photo Museum's former US Army UH-1H Iroquois).
Much of our helicopter collection has been made possible through the gracious assistance of the United States Navy and the United States Marine Corps.
Military Helicopter Collection
Our Military Helicopter collection includes helicopters from all branches of the armed forces of the United States of America. Most of these helicopters have some connection to the Carolinas, and many are actual combat veterans.
A large part of our collection are post-war helicopters from the 1950s and 1960s.
