Running out of ROOM!
The Museum has embarked upon a major expansion program which will see the erection of a new main hangar building. We expect this project to be completed by mid-2006. Until this project is finished, the Museum has an urgent need for additional secure storage space for some our valuable artifacts. (Photo of Museum items in storage).
Items needing storage range from documents and uniforms, to aircraft parts and engines. These items a just too valuable to leave exposed to the weather or to store in less than ideal conditions.
Our need for additional storage space is made all the more urgent as a result of our upcoming expansion project. In order to erect the new main hangar, we will need to reposition and store many items which are currently on display at the main museum site.
In addition, in preparation for the opening of the new hangar in 2006 we have now begun to clean and restore items which will be displayed in the new hangar. Once prepared, these items need to be stored in a climate controlled secure environment.
Get a Tax Deduction
If you have secure warehouse or storage space which could be used by the Museum until the completion of our new hangar project in mid-2006, please contact the Museum. The Museum is a 501(c) 3 organization, and donations of storage space may be eligible for a tax deduction.
If you are thinking of donating additional items to the Museum, please do not hesitate to do so. Even with our temporary storage needs, we are still able, and in fact eager to add to the collection as much as possible. If you donate something to us, we will find a place for it until it can be properly displayed in our new facility.
